Happy birthday to Blue Ivy Carter!
Beyoncé and Jay Z's daughter turned 4 yesterday and, though we could've sworn she wasjust born, we always love having a good reason (better than "because it's Friday," anyway) to pore over pictures
of the pop-rap royalty scion and get an insider's view of her fabulous little life.
Tip of the hat, as always, to Beyoncé for being so generous with the photo sharing.
But the platinum-selling artist has never been one to deny her adoring fans—and if what they want is to feel like they're on vacation with Bey, Jay and Blue...so be it.
Security was tight at New York City's Lenox Hill Hospital on Jan. 7, 2012, when Blue Ivy entered this world—and Mom and Dad have done their best to protect their little girl from prying eyes ever since. And their intention has, ironically, been best-served by Bey and Jay's social media becoming the go-to place for the latest, greatest pics.
Whether they're gazing at a paradisiacal ocean view, dancing at Auntie Solange's wedding, dressing up for Halloween or just clowning around on any given day, this family of three looks set.
Last year they celebrated Blue's big 0-3 with, ice sculpture aside, a pretty traditional kids' party, while the year before that they escaped to the warmer winter climes of Miami and rented out the local zoo.
They may be saving the biggest bash (to date) for Blue's 5th next year, but surely something special is taking place to commemorate 4. We can't wait to see the photos!
But in the meantime, enjoy the best shots of Blue Ivy and fam through the years—and try not to get too jealous. Some preschoolers just have it that good.
